Liverpool Songs

*work in progress* Below are some of the songs that can be heard from Liverpool fans, both at Anfield and on away trips across the globe:

FIELDS OF ANFIELD ROAD

Outside the Shankly Gates
I heard a Kopite calling :
Shankly they have taken you away
But you left a great eleven
Before you went to heaven
Now it’s glory round the Fields of Anfield Road.

All round the Fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and he could play)
We had Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
Of the glory round the Fields of Anfield Road

Outside the Paisley Gates
I heard a Kopite calling
Paisley they have taken you away..
You led the great 11
Back in Rome in 77
And the redmen they are still playing the same way

All round the Fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and he could play)
We had Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
Of the glory round the Fields of Anfield Road

YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high,
And don’t be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm,
There’s a golden sky,
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown…
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart,
And you’ll never walk alone… You’ll never walk alone.
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart,
And you’ll never walk alone…
You’ll never walk alone

Repeat… 8)

STEVIE G (to the tune of Let It Be)

When we find ourselves in times of trouble,
Stevie G runs past me,
Playing the game with wisdom, Stevie G,
And in my home, the Spion Kop,
We watch him jog, right in front of me,
Spreading balls with wisdom, Stevie G,
Let it be, let it be, let it be, Stevie G,
The local lad turned hero, Stevie G
And when the jubilant Kopite people,
All living in The Park agree,
That we all know the answer, Stevie G,
And although we may all be fooled,
There is still a chance that we will see,
The footballing phenomen, Stevie G,
Let it be, let it be, let it be, Stevie G,
Spreading balls with wisdom, Stevie G
And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a man that we all see,
A young, committed Kopite, Stevie G,
Playing to the sound of music,
Stevie G runs past me,
Playing the game with wisdom, Stevie G,
Let it be, let it be, let it be, Stevie G,
For we all know the answer, his name is Stevie G

ROBBIE FOWLER (to the tune of Amore)

When the ball hits the net
Its a fairly safe bet that its Fowler
Robbie Fowler

And When Liverpool score
You will hear the Kop roar “Oh, its Fowler
Robbie Fowler”

Ian Rush, Roger Hunt
Who’s the best man up front? “Oh, its Fowler
Robbie Fowler”

He’s the King of the Kop
He’s the best of the lot
Robbie Fowler

DON’T TAKE OUR LUIS AWAY (to the tune of You Are My Sunshine)

Lu-Is Gar-Cia
He Drinks San-Gri-A
He Came From Barca
To Bring Us Joy
He’s 4 Foot 7
He’s Football Heaven
Oh Please, Don’t Take Our Luis Away

THE NEVILLE FAMILY (to the tune of The Addams Family)

His Sister Is his Mother
His Father is his Brother
They like to Fuck each other
The Neville Familly

GARY NEVILLE IS AN UGLY CHAP

Gary Neville is an ugly chap, an ugly chap, an ugly chap
Gary Neville is an ugly chap, he needs plastic surgery,

He looks the spit of Roland Rat, Roland Rat, Roland Rat
He looks the spit of Roland Rat, he’s one ugly chap.

Thanks to 15048996ripynwa for that little gem.

JC Shop – New CD of Liverpool FC songs

Check out the latest CD by the lads that brought us “The Fields of Anfield Rd” played by George Sephton at Anfield.
ie “The Songs of Anfield Rd” which has 11 songs and is sold from official LFC outlets.
Their latest CD is an “unofficial” CD which sold in the HJC Shop, Anfield containing 22 Liverpool songs. (many of them are new songs)
Some of the songs can be heard at http://www.soundclick.com/scottishscousers.
Believe me it is worth having a listen.
